PTFE

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a soft, low friction fluoropolymer with outstanding chemical resistance and weathering resistance. PTFE Â is one of the most versatile plastic materials known and can be used for applications where other materials can't be used. Only a few chemicals react with it.Â
Its mechanical properties are low compared to other engineering plastics, but its properties remain at a useful level over a great temperature range (-400° to 500°F). PTFE sheets and rods are ideally suited for the manufacture of high-temperature seals, insulators and bearings used in semiconductor, aerospace & chemical processing industries.
